建道神學院簡史
Brief History of Alliance Bible Seminary
1899
建道神學院於 1899 年在中國廣西梧州創立，創辦人為宣道會西教士高樂弼醫生。建校迄今已超過二千名畢業生，遍佈世界各地為主作工。
一百多年來，歷經多次戰亂與政局遷移，神一直使用衪忠心的僕入與侍女，引導建道神學院的發展，其中特別值得一提的有羅聖愛女士、翟輔民牧師、趙柳塘牧師和劉福群牧師等。
1949 年，由於政局變化，學院在劉福群牧師的帶領下遷至香港長洲。1975年，宣道會西差會將學院的領導責任移交本地中國信徒，由宣道會香港區聯會接管，滕近輝博士為移交後的首任院長。
Alliance Bible Seminary was founded in 1899 in Wuzhou, Guangxi, China, by Dr. Robert Glover, a missionary from the Christian and Missionary Alliance. To date, the seminary has graduated over 2,000 students who are serving the Lord across the globe.
For over a century, despite wars and political shifts, God has used His faithful servants to guide the development of the seminary, including notable figures such as Ms. Law Shing Oi, Rev. Robert Jaffray, Rev. Chiu Lau Tong, and Rev. William C. Newbern.
In 1949, due to political changes, the seminary moved to Cheung Chau, Hong Kong, under the leadership of Rev. William C. Newbern. In 1975, the C&MA Mission transferred leadership responsibilities to local Chinese believers, and the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church Union of Hong Kong took over management, with Rev. Philip Teng serving as the first president after the transition.
1980
1980年，張慕皚牧師成為第二任院長。2005年，梁家麟牧師接任，2018年榮休。蔡少琪牧師於2018年9月接任至2026年8月榮休。高銘謙牧師於2026年9月接任院長。
In 1980, Rev. James Cheung became the second president. In 2005, Rev. Leung Ka-lun succeeded him and retired in 2018. Rev. Tsoi Siu-ki served as president from September 2018 until August 2026. Rev. Ko Ming-him became president in September 2026.

1990
進入九十年代，由於大量華人移居北美，教會如雨後春筍被建立起來，信徒領袖渴望在工餘修讀以華語為主流的神學課程，故於 1990 年，建道神學院與加東校友會合作，成立加拿大建道中心，學院派遣講師黃碩然女士前往定期提供遙距及延伸課程，又舉辦講座等，為加拿大華人信徒提供基本神學教育。
九五年底，黃主任決定回香港建道神學院全時間執教，辭去主任一職。接著由楊偉高牧師作代主任。九六年十月開始，鄭貽富博士接受邀請擔任中心主任，於 2009 年 6 月退休。 梁應安博士於 2009 年 9 月上任，並開辦神學文憑課程，以視像同步授課方式連接多倫多、溫尼辟、渥太華及滿地可教會，推廣成人神學教育，裝備信徒領袖，協助神學院海外招生事工。梁應安博士於 2018 年退休卸任。2018 年，陸超明博士接任至 2024 年 8 月底退休卸任。2024 年 9 月，陳偉明博士接任加拿大建道中心總幹事一職至今。
In the 1990s, as Chinese immigration to North America increased, new churches emerged rapidly across the region. Lay leaders longed to study theological courses taught mainly in Chinese during their spare time. Therefore, in 1990, Alliance Bible Seminary partnered with the Eastern Canada Alumni Association to establish the Alliance Bible Seminary Centre of Canada. Alliance Bible Seminary (ABS) sent lecturer Dr. Wong Shek-yin, Cindy to regularly offer distance and extension courses, as well as seminars, providing basic theological education for Chinese believers in Canada.
At the end of 1995, Dr. Wong Shek-yin, Cindy decided to return to Alliance Bible Seminary in Hong Kong to teach full-time and resigned from her position as director. Rev. Yeung Wai-ko then served as acting director. From October 1996, Rev. Cheng Yee-fu accepted the invitation to serve as Centre Director until his retirement in June 2009. Rev. Leung Ying-on, James took office in September 2009 and launched a theological diploma program, using synchronized video teaching to connect churches in Toronto, Winnipeg, Ottawa, and Montreal. This promoted adult theological education, equipped lay leaders, and supported the seminary’s overseas recruitment ministry. Rev. Leung retired in 2018. In 2018, Rev. Luk Chiu-ming succeeded him and served until his retirement at the end of August 2024. In September 2024, Dr. Wai-ming, Jimmy became the Executive Director of The Alliance Bible Seminary Centre of Canada (ABSCC) and continues to serve in this role.

- 提供聖經、神學及各類信仰實踐課程 Provide Biblical, theological, and practical ministry courses.
- 特別關注中小型教會的需要，提供以下協助﹕ Special focus on the needs of small and medium-sized churches, providing:
- 舉辦各類培訓，幫助信徒靈命成長 Organizing various training to help spiritual growth.
- 接受各教會講道/講座/營會分享之邀請 Accepting invitations for preaching, seminars, and camp sharing.
建道中心特色

- 全粵語講授 Taught mainy in Cantonese.
- 中文藏書逾 4,000本 Chinese library collection of over 4,000 volumes.
- 由資深牧者及擁博士/準博士資歷者任教 Taught by experienced pastors and faculty with doctoral or candidate status.
- 可以修讀/旁聽特定課程或個別科目 Option to take courses for credit or audit individual subjects.
